Medical Treatment for Mohammed

Hi all, my name is Chloe Barker and I am a dental hygienist in Indiana. I have been helping out families who have been displaced from war and I am trying to help Ahmed’s son, Mohammed, get treatment he has desperately been needing for months. The following is Ahmed’s story in his own words:
“I am Ahmed Abu Haya from Gaza, 28 years old, married and have two children, Mohammed and Jamal. In the war, I lost everything I owned, my home and my work, and I lost more than 80 people from my family, including my sister and her children and my brother who is still from the family. I need your continuous support so that I can provide for the needs of my lost family and be able to stand up again. Secondly, my young son is sick in his eyes and needs continuous treatment.
Jamal is 3 and a half years old and Mohammed is 1 and a half years old My wife’s name is Samiha I am from Gaza, Nuseirat, the new camp
My son Mohammed has been suffering for 6 months from large cysts and inflammation in his eyes. He takes a lot of ointments to relieve the inflammation in order to undergo surgery.
I had a job and a beautiful life, but the war took a lot from me and I lost my entire family, more than 80 people.”
My current goal is to help Mohammed get the daily medication for his eyes so he can have the surgery. Ahmed is also asking for support for his family right now due to having no income. Thank you everyone for reading his story, your help is greatly appreciated!
Living in Gaza right now, if you can even call it that, is maybe what hell is like?
There is constant bombing, no aid has been allowed to enter the borders in months, and hundreds of thousands of people are actually starving to death.
Whatever little food is available, it is expensive. Fuel is rare, and is also expensive. Everything is hard to come by. Everyone is suffering and are 100% dependent on us to live. The discplaced people living in tents are under constant threat of actual fire and shelling from the occupation.
All funds raised here go to Ahmed and his family, to survive the genocide however they can. Please continue to talk about Palestine, share their stories, and donate. They need it now more than ever!

Thanks to all of you, Mohammed was able to successfully have the surgery he needed to remove the cysts from his eyes. He is doing well, but he still needs daily treatment of medications while he is healing.
On a much sadder update, the ceasefire has officially ended and bombardments are nonstop almost everywhere in the Gaza Strip. Aid has completely stopped from entering Gaza and prices in the markets have skyrocketed. Ahmed desperately needs your support at this time to be able to feed his family and get Mohammed the care he needs. He is incredibly grateful to all of you for your support and hopes it will continue during these increasingly difficult times.
